GAYSEX in Pakistan ??

Most common term in Pakistan is "heera mandi" (sex market). Every Pakistani reading this knows very well about it. This market is flourishing in every town and village of the country. Police and other law enforcement agencies take their "share" in this business.
Last week, all friends of mine were talking about what percentage of people in Pakistan abstain from sex before marriage. We asked this question to 100 boys from different regions of Pakistan in our university. Frank with us, only four students said, they abstained from sexual acts of any type completely. Amongst Muslims in Pakistan, only 7% can fight their lust and don’t commit "zinah". Every honest Pakistani can not but agree with these statistics.
Being a boy, I can not ask girls about this in fear of being honor-killed.
Honor-killing is very common and an act of pride in Pakistan. Every day I read in local newspaper about the honor-killings. But the interesting thing is that those, who honor-kill girls, themselves indulge in premarital sex—a tragic double standard.
It is man's monopoly in Pakistan. Men want to have all kinds of relations with other girls. But when they discover or doubt that a girl from their own family is doing such act of "sin"—then there is only one cure for her, honor-killing.
Despite having such high rate of premarital sex taking place behind the scene—Pakistanis, myself included, used to boast that Western people are shameless and without any moral values for having open premarital relationship. But, now, I think it is everywhere in one way or another. Muslims living in western countries—who think that Islamic lands are pure and such kind of acts, which they perceive as "evils", don’t exist here—should get rid of their vain disillusion. They should never think that Islamic societies are morally good than other societies.
So, if you are looking for a son-in-law or daughter-in-law from Pakistan, there is no guarantee that he/she (particularly he) will be chaste.

KARACHI: Wearing shalwar kameez and a cap on his head, a young man stood at a traffic signal near the Empress Market apparently waiting for a friend.

Humidity had settled in after the sizzling heat of the day as pushcart vendors and gypsy women selling dry-fruit under umbrellas had packed up and left. Suddenly, a car turned around the signal and stopped near the young man. There was only eye contact between them and some indiscernible gestures. The young man sat in the car and they drove away.

One would find it hard to believe that the Empress Market located in the heart of the city is the hub for male prostitution. Everyday in late evenings, dozens of such prostitutes rush to the site to stand there in search for potential customers.

Besides the Empress Market, male prostitutes also seen at the corner near the United Bakery in Saddar town search for potential customers. There are many other such places in the city as well.

To find a group of male prostitutes to speak about their lives, this scribe wandered around the Empress Market and found a teenager ‘A’, who after a lengthy discussion with one of his partners, agreed to take this scribe to his rented home where he lives with two others, also in the same profession. Together with A, this scribe drove to Cantt Station to meet his fellows.

After passing the small lane between the booking office of an air-conditioned coach service and famous fleabag hotel near Cantonment Railway Station, we entered his home.

It was an old-fashioned place with only two rooms and a verandah, a reminder of one of the traditional dairas of a remote tribal village.

In one room, decorated with posters of Indian actors, two young men were sleeping on a straw mat beside which a stereo stood on a wooden bench and some cassettes and CDs were scattered all around.

Both of them greeted us with black kahwah and we started talking about their lives. On the conditions of not disclosing their names, villages and background and also not to take their pictures, they agreed for an interview.

The youngest of them was the first to disclose how he ended up in this business. “I was molested by my schoolteacher when I was only 11 years old... it was very strange and one of the worst experiences of my life. But as time went on, I started enjoying it.”

He further said that after sometime, his elder brother found out about the situation at the school and gave him a severe thrashing. He was then taken out of school to work as a mechanic at a garage. However, he added that the ‘syllabus’ there remained the same.

He then came to Karachi and now works as a male prostitute at the Cantt Station.

None of them had ever brought any customer to their home, they said. “It’s up to the customer where they take us. Sometimes we are taken to the customer’s house, at times to a hotel, or we have to give our services even inside the car,” said one of A’s friends.

There are countless cheap hotels around the railway station offering rooms to any one on hourly basis. They told this scribe that they have many friends who work as male prostitutes in different areas of the city. “However, some do it just for fun and don’t accept money,” said A. The male prostitutes could possibly be between 15 years of age to 25, but some are even as old as 40.

The Empress Market, Saddar, Tariq Road, Bahadurabad, Mazar-e-Quaid, Al-Asif Square, Baldia Colony, Merewether Tower, Cantt Railway Station, Hill Park and the posh areas like Zamzama, Seaview are hot spots for these prostitutes and their customers.

On some occasions, they are forced for their services without any payment. “Sometimes, police or night watchmen catch us and force for sex without payment, but it rarely happens as we avoid going to places where they are present,” he said.

When asked how male prostitutes find their customers on the streets, A said that it’s very simple. “It’s all about eye contact and the rest is understood,” he said.

Indian IVF bill Will stop gay couple ???

A growing number of male couples from Australia and other Western countries are hiring surrogates in India to bear children, but that might no longer be possible if a draft bill to regulate IVF in India becomes law.
R.S. Sharma, the secretary of the committee writing a bill to govern assisted reproductive technology (ART), told the Sydney Morning Herald that unless gay and lesbian relationships are legalised in India, gay couples would be excluded from hiring surrogates.
Delhi's High Court recently overturned a 150-year-old section of the country's penal code that outlawed ''carnal intercourse against the order of nature''.
However, gay activists warn this ruling, which in effect decriminalised sodomy, does not legalise gay relationships, leaving the status of such relationships unclear.
"If our government does not permit gay relationships, then it certainly will not be permitted for foreign gay couples to come to this country and have a [surrogacy] agreement," said Dr Sharma, who is the deputy director-general of the reproductive health and nutrition division at the India Council of Medical Research.
The paper quoted Allen-Drury, a resident of Australia's Blue Mountains area, as saying that changes to India's laws would be a great disappointment, if passed.
The draft bill could make it difficult for all Australian couples to use Indian surrogates.
One stumbling block would be a requirement that foreign countries guarantee they will accept the surrogate child as a citizen - before a surrogacy could begin.
Dr Sharma said foreign couples would have to obtain a document from their embassy or foreign ministry pledging the surrogate child citizenship of their country. "Only then will they be entitled to sign an agreement with a surrogate or an ART clinic," he said.
''Under the Australian Citizenship Act, there are no guarantees,'' a spokesman for the Department of Immigration and Citizenship said on Friday. (ANI)

No Visa for HIV+ Foreigners and NRIs for Commonwealth Games

Check HIV status before issuing visa to tourists for Commonwealth Games ???

To check spread of sexually-transmitted diseases during Commonwealth Games, an NGO working for the welfare of prostitutes in the national capital has asked the government to grant visas to tourists only after ensuring that they are not HIV positive.

Bhartiya Patita Uddhar Sabha' has asked Union health minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and external affairs minister SM Krishna to instruct Indian diplomatic missions abroad "not to issue visa to any foreigner or NRI without production of medical certificate that he/she is HIV negative."

"Similarly, no Indian, visiting abroad may be issued visa without production of similar medical certificate," the letter said.

Lakhs of foreigners are expected to visit Delhi during the sporting extravaganza from October 3 to 14.

"That is why we have requested the Central government to check medical certificate of individuals before giving visas to them," NGO president Khirati Lal Bhola said.

He said the mega sporting event poses a great threat and challenge to the government to put a check on sexually- transmitted diseases.

"Any foreigner found with HIV, must be hospitalised and action taken against the Embassy which had issued it," he said.

According to National Aids Control Organisation (Naco), about 2.5 million are suffering from Aids in India.

"It is expected that during the Commonwealth Games, the cases of AIDS may rise further as thousands of foreigners apart from sports-persons and officials will visit India to witness the games," the letter said.

The NGO is working for the welfare of about 5,000 prostitutes in about 116 brothels at the G B Road in New Delhi.

Prof Siras's CASE CLOSED ?? Who Cares ??? AHAHAHAH ?????

LUCKNOW: Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) reader Shrinivas Ramchandra Siras case took yet another curious turn with the rickshaw-puller with whom the academic was caught on camera telling cops that he was obliging Siras for money.

"In his statement, the rickshaw-puller said that he knew Siras for six-odd months, ever since he carried him to his staff residence one evening. He said Siras had promised to take care of all his expenses on the marriage of his sister," said ASP Maan Singh Chauhan.
The statement will come as a setback for gay rights activists seeking just
ice for Siras, as, according to experts, money in exchange of sexual services renders the act illegal, irrespective of the sexual orientation of the individuals involved in the act.
In the light of the Delhi High Court order of 2009 on section 377 of the IPC, consensual sex between adults must not be seen as crime.

"Money or any other consideration, instead of consent, brings the entire thing under the definition of prostitution, which can't be held legal," says senior advocate Atul Verma, specialising in criminal cases.

Aligarh Muslim University professor Dr Shrinivas Ramchandra Siras, who was suspended after being allegedly caught having consensual sex with a rickshaw-puller in his campus home, was found dead at his residence.

Police sources said that the disgraced professor allegedly committed suicide.

Dr Siras, a reader and chairman of Modern Indian Languages at AMU, was served a memo on February 9 by the office of the AMU registrar, Dr V K Abdul Jalil, under rule 403-C of the statute of the university, after a prima facie case of 'gross misconduct' was made out against him.

On February 19, AMU vice chancellor P K Abdul Azis suspended Sirasi and asked him to vacate the varsity premises.

Here are a few facts to ponder.
1] it is reported that Dr Siras had asked for a compensation of some 30 Lacks as compensation for his ill-treatment by the AMU.

2] The verdict of the Allahabad High Court was in any event a slap on the face of the AMU. It showed where the judges were leaning, and it is very likely that the compensation would have been allowed by the court.

3] The AMU VC is already under a cloud for financial bunglings. He is also aware of his very public role in what happened to Dr Siras.

4] If the compensation was allowed by the court, an extremely likely event, then the VC would have been directly held responsible for the blunder.

5] The VC is a very powerful and autocratic force in AMU / Aligarh with pretty good contacts. He may be said to have a very clear motive in ensuring that the compensation never materializes.

6] Suddenly a very normal and well adjusted Dr Siras, fresh from a whopping victory at the High Court, is found dead under very mysterious circumstances. Local police (the same ones that had so liked the VC's action against Dr Siras, that they had refused repeatedly register his FIR against the university) immediately claim suicide even before an autopsy is conducted.

7] The VC who till yesterday was all about screaming "Siras is an Ogre" is suddenly all misty eyed and overwhelmed.

Mystery shrouds death of AMU professor

Aligarh Muslim University Professor Shrinivas Ramchandra Siras, who was suspended from the university recently after he was filmed participating in a homosexual act with a rickshaw puller, was found dead under mysterious circumstances at his rented accommodation in Aligarh on Wednesday evening. The 64-year-old professor was staying alone.

Only last week the Allahabad High Court had issued a stay order against Dr. Siras' suspension from the university and also on his ouster from his campus accommodation.
Superintendent of Police (Aligarh City) Man Singh Chauhan said: “Prima facie it appears to be a case of suicide or something like a heart attack. At the moment it does not seem to be a case of murder. Since a foul smell was emanating from the room, Dr. Siras must have been dead for a minimum of eight to twelve hours.”
Dr. Siras was also reportedly involved in a property dispute case and had gone to Nagpur recently for a court hearing.
Aligarh Muslim University spokesperson Rahat Abrar said on Wednesday evening: “Dr. Siras was staying in a rented accommodation in the Durgabai area of Marris Road. Neighbours complained to the police on Wednesday about a foul smell emanating from Dr. Siras' accommodation which was bolted from inside.”
“The police had to break open the door around 6 p.m. and found Dr. Siras lying on his bed with blood on his mouth. Until the post-mortem report comes in, it is difficult to comment.
The death could even have been due to natural causes such as a heart attack or brain haemorrhage,” he added.
“The university is saddened by his demise and the Vice-Chancellor is shocked and has expressed his condolences. The university had revoked Dr. Siras' suspension and he was to resume duty soon,” Dr. Abrar added.
University authorities said they would be talking to Dr. Siras' family to make arrangements for taking away the body.

‘Unexpected and shocking'

A philosophy teacher at AMU, Dr. Tariq Islam, who was a close friend of Dr. Siras, said: “The death is highly unexpected and shocking. Dr. Siras had come to meet me on Monday and he seemed his normal self. He was very happy about the Allahabad High Court stay order.

 Mobile switched off

Since Tuesday morning people had been unable to contact him as his mobile phone was switched off. This was unusual because Dr. Siras never switched off his phone. He was not the type to react sharply to events and was tough.”
Anjali Gopalan of Naz Foundation, which has been supporting Dr. Siras, said: “When I spoke to him a couple of days ago he did not sound suicidal at all. I am horrified at the news of his death. It does not make sense. He was admittedly an old man and would have been undergoing tremendous stress because of the recent developments.”

Taking initiative
Lakshmi Narayan Tripathi,
Parmesh Shahani, an organiser of the conference, says that in the middle of the dinner, a senior official of the Bombay Gymkhana burst into the room and said that Laxmi had to leave. “It was evident that he said so because she was a transgender.” Following this, the dinner came to a standstill and everyone present left the venue, many mid-way through their meal. “I am heartbroken to watch such an incident take place before my eyes. She is one of the speakers we were most proud of and excited about. The idea of this event was to showcase India’s ideas to the world, and it is such an embarrassing thing for this to happen on its eve.”
Respect denied

Lakshmi told HT CafĂ© that she didn’t overhear what was said, but an organiser came up to her in tears and told her that he would lose his job if she did not leave. “Internationally, I am treated with such dignity. I am a respected person in society and I have never faced such discrimination in my life. When this club was run by the British, they had a notice outside that read ‘Indians and dogs not allowed.’ They should put up a notice now saying ‘Hjiras and transgenders not allowed,’ if this is how they feel. The transgenders are the oldest ethnic groups in India and what they have done is completely illegal,” says Lakshmi, who plans to file a police complaint soon. Daniel Carroll, one of the speakers, says: “It’s outrageous! Can you imagine TED was expelled from Bombay Gymkhana?” Despite several attempts, no one from Bombay Gymkahana was
